How to Wear a Jean Jacket This Summer
Jean jackets are the thing to buy this spring. If you plan on wearing sun dresses, maxi dresses, and maxi skirts a jean jacket it the best this to wear when the sun goes down and it gets a little chilly.
This is the jacket I bought this year!
I'm finding myself more and more into spring and summer time dresses. They are perfect to be comfortable, go our to bars, or go to concerts. Pair them with boots, flats or flips and you're ready to go. Grab a jean jacket on your way out the door in case it gets cold. There is just so much you can do with a simple dress. These are all perfect dresses to pair with a jean jacket this summer.

The Shoes You Need This Spring!
It's always hard to choose the best shoes to wear in between your beloved winter boots and your many colors of flip flops. Here are the shoes to wear this spring!
1. Rain Boots
You know the saying... April showers bring May flowers! These will keep your feet dry throughout the spring while still looking cute! If you have been following my blog you will know I originally bought yellow rain boots... Don't get yellow unless you want them to look like work boots! A color you wear often (for me that's pink) or a neutral such as black or navy is perfect. Hunter Rain Boots
2. Cute Tennis Shoes
These are perfect for days when you will do a lot of walking. Spring is the perfect time for vacations and sight seeing. These will keep your feet dry, comfy, and looking cute! Target
3. Toms
Who doesn't love Toms? These are perfect for lounging around. I got these in a neutral since the rest of my shoes are colorful! These best part about Toms is if they ever get dirty you can literally just throw them in the wash. Check out my post about Toms here. Toms
4. Lacy Toms
I love my lacy Toms! They are perfect for hot days, especially if you don't have your toes painted since you can see your toes in these. The ones I got are a lilac color but light enough that I use them as a neutral. Even though they have more detail then the regular Toms you can still throw these in the wash. Toms
5. Sperry's
Last but not least, Sperry's are the way to go! Boat shoes that look good everywhere. They are water proof which is perfect for the spring. Of course I had to get the ones with the sparkles. They even have Sperry Wedges! I am so excited to wear these! Sperry Topsider

My First Skirt
This is officially the first skirt I have made! I made this of the vision of summer. This winter seems to have lasted a lifetime and all I can do is dream of what I will be doing this summer and what I will be wearing! One thing I know I will spend a lot of time doing is gambling at the Race Track. This skirt will be perfect for those hot days drinking strawberry daiquiris and betting on Ponies! I can't wait to make more skirts and dresses!
What do you think?

I Changed My Mind About Rain Boots!
Well, I at least changed my mind about the specific rain boots I ordered. They were supposed to be cute, and fun! They look like work boots. I am so unimpressed.
These were the boots I ordered. They look like a soft yellow which would be pretty cute considering I wanted them to look like typical yellow rain boots. I loved these because they just seemed so sunny and happy (stupid, I know) but I really thought I would love them. The second I saw the box get delivered I was immediately thrilled! The second I opened the box I was less than thrilled.
I was going to take a picture wearing them in the grass (ahem, snow) but since I will be returning them I couldn't get them dirty! I blame Pinterest for making me believe they would be cute.
This is what they were supposed to look like...
RIP my love and longing for yellow rain boots. I'm going to return them and see if another color suits me better.

Vintage Summer Dresses
My latest obsession is vintage summer dresses. During the summer I love going to the Race Track (horses not cars) and people always dress up so nicely. I have a couple nice dresses and cute tanks and shorts when is extremely hot out. I even have a floppy hat! (pictured above) But I think a vintage summer dress would be the perfect thing to wear! Especially with my wedge sandals. So after a little research, here are a few that I absolutely loved.
This dress is a little busier than I would normally wear, but it would be very slimming!

This dress is just so cute! I could definitely wear this to the track.
I love the neck line on this dress.

Can you tell I love polka dots? I love the ruffles and off the shoulder neck line on this dress.
This is going to be a tough decision!

I Want Rain Boots!
Years leading up to now, I solemnly swore not to wear rain boots. I don't know exactly why I didn't like them. Something about the weird shiny rubber with no seam or texture just seemed wrong to me. However, they seem to have grown on me. I have yet to find the perfect pair but I am on a mission. I think I would truly enjoy keeping my feet warm and dry this spring.
I'm torn between getting classic yellow rain boots or something else. I think yellow would be super cute, but I would have limited things to wear with them! Black rain boots just seem wrong for some reason though. I love this outfit I saw on Pinterest, but I'm not one to wear red (outside of work). Decisions, decisions!
Here are some other rain boots I saw on Pinterest that I loved! Check back here soon to get a link to my Spring Time Pinterest Board.
